OKLAHOMA CITY – Owen Dyer scored and added two assists to help the Oklahoma Warriors beat the New Mexico Ice Wolves 4-3 Saturday at Blazers Ice Centre.

After a scoreless first period, Dyer opened the scoring with a blueline goal 82 seconds into the second period. Dyer was set up by William Lawson-Body and Hunter Jones. Less than four minutes later, the Ice Wolves evened things up with a 5-on-3 powerplay goal, but Oklahoma answered back shorthanded. Drew Sutton scored off a three-on-two with Dyer and Max Dronen. New Mexico added another before the end of the period, and the teams went into the third tied 2-2.

Sutton scored to give the Warriors a 3-2 lead 5:37 into the third when he was set up by Therien Thiesing from across neutral ice for a net drive. Joey DelGreco held one leg onside after winning a puck battle to Thiesing for the secondary helper. Jones scored an empty net goal from DelGreco and Dyer 1:33 left, and it proved to be the game-winning goal. New Mexico scored with an extra attacker out after pulling its goaltender again while on a 4-on-4 play with 31 remaining to make it a 4-3 game.

The Warriors will be back on home ice against the Lone Star Brahmas to close out a 3-in-3 weekend with a 5:30 p.m. puck drop Sunday.
