Warriors Extend Point Streak To Nine Games, Top Jackalopes 4-2

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Warriors extended their point streak to nine games thanks to three first period goals against the Odessa Jackalopes Thursday at Blazers Ice Centre.

Malte Hasselgren opened the Warriors’ scoring for the second straight game and scored his eighth goal in his last eight games to give Oklahoma a 1-0 lead just 4:06 into the game. Hasselgren cruised through the neutral zone and skated past the Odessa defense by playing the puck between his legs before potting it from one knee. Exactly four minutes later, Brendan Williams doubled the Warriors’ lead with a powerplay goal. Joey Delgreco sent a puck from the top of the zone to Max Dronen for a one-time shot from the right circle. Dronen’s shot created a rebound that Williams buried at 8:06 to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead. Oklahoma took advantage of a bounce one minute and 31 seconds later to score again. Garrett Horsager had a shot blocked off a Jackalope and it bounced right to Williams. Williams then passed to a wide-open William Lawson-Body for the third goal. The Warriors added a goal in the second period from Rylan Brady and would finish the game with a 4-2 win.

Oklahoma earned a point in its ninth straight game, and has won eight of those games after a 4-3 loss in Shreveport October 1.
