Warriors 2022-23 Schedule Released, Inaugural Game in Oklahoma City Set

Oklahoma City – The North American Hockey League announced its full schedule for the 2022-23 season Tuesday. Notable dates throughout the season include the home opener at Blazers Ice Centre, which will preview a Hockey Day in Oklahoma celebration October 28, Military Appreciation Weekend November 18 and 19, a teddy bear toss night December 14, and a season-long, 9-game homestand from February 24, 2023, through March 18, 2023. Following four games at the 19th annual NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota, the Oklahoma Warriors will jump into the South Division with a 5-game road trip, beginning September 24, 2022, against the Lone Star Brahmas.

The season begins with the inaugural Oklahoma Warriors game at Blazers Ice Centre Friday, October 28 against the Shreveport Mudbugs. It will mark the 21st meeting between the two franchises. The Warriors hold an 8-8-0-2 all-time record against the Mudbugs through their first 18 meetings. The teams will first meet in the 2022-23 season for back-to-back games in Shreveport.

The Warriors will play each South Division rival eight times, with four being at home at the Blazers Ice Centre, and four times at each foe’s home rink. The number of home games, by month, are as follows: September, 0;  October, 2;  November, 5;  December, 1;  January, 4;  February, 5;  March, 8;  April, 3.

The longest road trip of the 2022-23 campaign spans through the new year, starting December 16, 2022 in Odessa, and runs through January 14, 2023 in Shreveport.
