ODESSA, Texas – Rylan Brady and Joey Delgreco each scored twice and added assists as the Oklahoma Warriors defeated the Odessa Jackalopes 5-2 Friday at the Ector County Coliseum.

Owen Carlile sent a shot off a Jackalopes defenseman right to Brady, who fired in his first of the game at 2:44 of the first period. Odessa answered back with five minutes left in the period to make it 1-1, but the Warriors jumped up to a 2-1 lead with one minute left in the frame. Delgreco and Brady set up Drew Sutton’s 10th of the season when Sutton found himself alone in front of the net. The Warriors headed into the intermission outshooting the Jackalopes 15-4.

Brady scored the only goal of the second period with just 22 seconds left in the frame. Brady broke through a check into the offensive zone and Max Dronen won a puck battle in the corner to feed Brady for his 10th of the season.

Odessa tried to climb back after adding a goal with just over seven minutes remaining and pulled its netminder for an extra attacker late. After the Warriors won a defensive zone draw, Delgreco would float the puck down ice from his own blueline and make it a 4-2 game with 51 seconds remaining. Odessa once again got an extra attacker on the ice, and for a second straight time, Delgreco scored into the empty net to extend the Warriors lead just 23 seconds later.

The Warriors and Jackalopes will play the second game of the weekend set, and their sixth head-to-head game of the season, Saturday at 7:15 p.m. at the Ector County Coliseum.
