AMARILLO, Texas – Five different Warriors had multipoint outings and Owen Baumgartner recorded an assist for his 100th career North American Hockey League point as the Oklahoma Warriors beat the Amarillo Wranglers 4-1 at the Budweiser Bull Pen Saturday.

Oklahoma took advantage of an early powerplay opportunity to go up 1-0 3:12 into the first period. Baumgartner sent a shot wide behind the net and Owen Carlile collected the puck to feed Joey Delgreco for his ninth of the season. The Warriors added a second goal late in the frame to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission. Drew Sutton scored his 11th of the season from Max Dronen and Brendan Williams with 2:56 remaining.

Amarillo scored the first goal of the second period, but Oklahoma answered a minute and a half later with another powerplay goal. Sutton and Delgreco fed Carlile in the slot and he rifled in his fourth of the season to give the Warriors a 3-1 lead with 5:45 left in the period.

Williams added further insurance with his team-leading 13th goal of the season when he potted a Cole Teleki rebound off the post. Dronen earned his second helper of the game on Williams’ goal.

The Warriors will be back in action for 7:11 p.m. puck drops Friday and Saturday January 13 and 14 against the Shreveport Mudbugs at George’s Coliseum.
